The Dude

This is the packaging for The Dude Sixth Scale Figure and features Sideshow’s product photography. Using Photoshop, I enhanced the product image to blend into a visually captivating setting, creating original art inspired from the film for the front and back of the package. The front panel scene features original art created for the Dude’s rug, as well as a custom bowling alley and pins that surround the package sides. The back panel imagery again uses product photography heavily enhanced and original illustrations of the bowling lane and girls legs to create a unique scene taking inspiration and visual cues from the classic character. The sides of the back panel are custom rug designs that really tie the package together.

The base art for the figure I custom designed as a multi-color silkscreen inspired by The Dude’s rug and was used in various marketing campaigns for use in set photography.

I was responsible for the concept, design, and licensing submission and approval for mass production. I was also responsible for prepping files for pre-production, color separations for the multi-colored silkscreened base art, and sending files to overseas manufactures, checking color proofs and pre-production samples for final approval.
