Rey

This is the packaging and base art for Rey and features Sideshow’s product photography. Following strict licensor guidelines from Lucas Film, each Star Wars package follows a clear set of design parameters, from pre-selected black and grey color settings, to the specific design and size of the grey bars. The only area allowed for uniqueness is the base art.

The base art that is applied to the bottom of the figure was designed as a multi-color silkscreen creating an original illustration of the character based on the product photography and classic design motifs from the Star Wars galaxy.

I was responsible for the concept, design, and licensing submission and approval from Disney/Lucas Film for mass production. I was also responsible for prepping files for pre-production, color separations for the multi-colored silkscreened base art, and sending files to overseas manufactures, checking color proofs and pre-production samples for final approval.
