Darkseid

This is the packaging and base art for Darkseid and features Sideshow’s product photography. Using Photoshop, I enhanced the product image to blend into a visually captivating scene, using original art to create a burst of energy, light and swirling effects, and lava cracked background and character logo, taking inspiration and visual cues from the classic DC character and the art of Jack Kirby.

The base art that is applied to the bottom of the figure was designed as a multi-color silkscreen creating an original illustration using elements from the package and the swirling radiating energy featured around Darkseid.

I was responsible for the concept, design, and licensing submission and approval from Warner Bros/DC for mass production. I was also responsible for prepping files for pre-production, color separations for the multi-colored silkscreened base art, and sending files to overseas manufactures, checking color proofs and pre-production samples for final approval.
